Get Your S*** Together

January 11th 2019

Today* I completed my first book of the year and I feel beyond happy and motivated that it is all completed. I went away for the 'weekend' and I spent some quality time at the beach and was able to lock in the last 100 or so pages.

So before I ramble all about my weekend, let's get straight into this book reviews however if you are interested in my weekend you can see those blogs at a later date. So keep a lookout!

Now, I got given this book for Christmas and I will admit that this book is the book that started me on my spiral.

However I had seen this book on the shelf when I had be strolling through the book isle in Big W but I had never really paid much attention to it. This has also come from the fact that I haven't really been reading for the last few years.

This book though was the perfect book to get back into reading and I can honestly say I loved every minute of it.

This book has the right amount of laughs, advice, reality and simplicity to make it the perfect beginning book to sorting your shit out.

It is an amazing self help book and provides an overall picture to what you may be missing even if you feel like you have a pretty good grip on your life.

It touches into all aspects of life, money, love, relationships, friendships and sorting out your mental clutter.

There is one main point that I learnt from the book and ever since I read those first words, I've done it everyday since.

I swear by it.

Without further ado, let's get to the main life changing tip that the book taught in getting my shit together.

And that was. . . .

Write a list of things to do.

Re order that list based on what MUST be done.

Simplify and determine what must be done today.

Do it.

By being able to break up your to do list into a must do list and being able to determine what is if highest priority allows you to shorten that list to daily obtainable goals.

(But that's enough for now, there will be another blog post going live about what and how I list and how I get what I need out of my lists.)

So there is just a little sneak peek into what exactly this book was, but I can not recommend it enough. It was highly enjoyable read and it really opened my mind up to endless possibilities about how I can sort my shit out and get to where I want to be.

Would rate:

11/10 for self help.

8/10 for an overall read.
