MID YEAR RESET

6 months down.


6 months to go.


We are half way into the year and it is that time again where we need to sit down and get ready for the next 6 months. I know that you want to smash out these next 6 months just as much as I do and the only way we can do that is to get prepared.


I wanted to keep this blog post short, sweet and to the point.


So here it is.

The 4 tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your next 6 months.


REFLECTION

  • Set yourself a time to sit down and take a moment to reflect on your past 6 months.

  • Grab your diary, weekly planner or calendar.

  • Flip through and highlight your past 6 month experiences.

  • Look at what you have achieved and what you are proud off.

  • Look at areas that you want to work on.

  • Start to develop some changes for the next 6 months.

  • Develop a plan of attack.

  • Know what you want and learn from your past mistakes.



BUCKET LIST


It seems silly but create a bucket list for the next 6 months, jot down everything that your heart wants to achieve before the year is out. This is not only your goals buy things that will make you warm and fuzzy inside or things that you have been dreaming to do forever. Jot them down and find some time for them before the year is out. Also, being able to jot them down not only puts it out there into the universe but it also puts it back on your mind and I know when I cannot get something off my mind I normally do it


READ MORE, LISTEN MORE, LEARN MORE


This one is easy and I will keep it short for now.

  • Read more books.

  • Listen to more podcasts, Ted Talks or YouTube.

  • Learn more, enrol in a class, talk to some new, teach yourself a skill.


GRATITUDE


Once again a super easy, yet crucial step that I have taken that has changed my life. Spending even just 2 minutes jotting down what you are grateful takes you from your day to the moment, grounds you and allows for you to be present. Not only does it calm your mind, but it reduces stress and allows for you to create control over your own thoughts by slowing them down and making them singular thoughts.




There you have it folks.


For now it is short and sweet and it only covers the main points but if you sit down and prepare yourself with some of these things and get ready to move forward then you are on the very beginning of your journey and I hope you join me for the rest of it.
