Hellooooooo Study Week

Andddddd helloooooo bad habits.

But for real welcome back to a new week of study, reading, writing and learning and although we could be in different week at Uni, this is currently my study week. So there will be no actual lectures however this does not mean no actual learning.

In the past I have always taken study week and referred to it as break week. I never realised the full potential that a study week could have on my study and I never actually used them at all. So this one is going to be nice and short and sweet, so that I can get it live for you all and so that I can take my own advice and get into it and start studying.

GETTING STRAIGHT TO THE POINT

I am going to bring you the tips that I have tried and tested over the last 4 years of me studying my two separate degrees and let you know what has worked for to get the most out of your study week.

CHANGE YOUR MINDSET

This is not holidays, this is not free time, this is not a week off. Once you stop thinking all of these things and you realise that this could possibly be one of the most important weeks of your year then you will be ready to smash it all out and enter in to the second half of the session ready to get through it and get through it well.

SET A SCHEDULE

If you currently have time where you attend classes every week still use that time and go and do the class work that you need to catch up on however if you are like me and you go to Uni off campus finding that time will be just as hard this week as it is every other week especially with Easter creeping up on us. So set aside an hour or two every night for one individual subject a day and then give yourself two hours to focus on your assessments.

STICK TO YOUR SCHEDULE

I think this one speaks for itself. STICK TO YOUR MOTHERF*CKING SCEDULE

SEPERATE YOUR TIME

I just wanted to chuck this one in at the end here to make myself even more clear. Set a specific topic on a specific day:

Mondays = Management

Tuesdays = Economics

etc.

Then give yourself an allotted time (whether that be 1 hour or 2 hours) for just one task:

  • Content catch up.

  • Readings.

  • Blackboard postings.

  • Emails

  • Assessment work.

Don't try to do all this huge amount of work for 4 different subjects in only just one hour, recognise when you have a lot of work to do and sit down and allocate your time so that you are able to get it all done.

That will be all for me this week, I need to get back to studying. So here is a quote that I am living by.
