There are always so many different mindsets, perspectives and general ideas on the thought of healthy.
Whether it be dieting or exercising or going to the gym or spending time outside, so many things fall under the healthy banner that it is so easy to get all caught up in what you think is best for you.
Now this blog is not going to spin some crazy get fit quick story, no it is going to help you, just like it did me, to realise your potential and maybe start you on your health journey.
I started with realising that the number on the scales doesn't actually define me, although i want it to be lower than it is (who doesn't?) being able to understand fat and muscle content made it a lot easier to look at the numbers on the scales.
(Now if your like me and you have access to a full body scan at your gym, take note of it and see where you improve and what the . numbers are saying, if you don't have access don't be disheartened by the numbers on a normal scale as that may not be true to fat body content.)
What I really wanted to say was that to be healthy you need to focus on your self first, so to go into this lightly and to just give you a little idea of the things I have started to do to change my healthy mindset to one that focuses more on me:
I broke it up into days:
Sunday Soothing Sesh: Take some time to do a facemask, read or journal and prepare for the week ahead by writing out your weekly planner.
Monday: Budget.
Tuesday: Chill, watch netflix, see your friends, whatever to have a peaceful mind.
Wednesday: Blog, write, read, journal, study.
Thursday: Study.
Friday: Chill out.
Saturday night: Make a plan, get out of the house.
Now this is really just a rough idea, it is still a rough idea for me as well we are only in week 3 of the New Year, so I am really trying to test it all out as well.
This really is just a step in right direction to ensuring that I have my day, my week even my month organised and that I am making the most use of my time. It is not to plan every hour of everyday jammed pack with activities, you can clearly see I take 2 nights to chill and another night to head out with my friends. No it is about being organised that you know when to spend time doing the things you need to do so that you have time to do the things you want to do.
Y E S that is what my healthy is about right, I need to be mentally healthy so that I am able to physically and emotionally healthy to tackle the year that is 2019.
*sidenote; I do understand that we all live different lives and schedules, so work out what works best for you.
