We are back again with another delicious week. I am loving these four days off in a row. I do not think I have ever had this much time to myself. I really do not even know what to do with myself.
We are heading into week 20 and I really do not know what to make with that.
Writing it down like this and breaking down my weeks has really created a sense of time within myself. I know that I live my life via dates and that I am constantly checking the time at work but this writing has really changed the way that I am viewing each week.
It is actually setting in a sense ofm, I guess you could almost call it 'doom' but it is almost a sense of realisation that every day does count. What you eat, when you exercise, how you speak to people, how you speak to yourself and lately what I have been trying to work on is how you treat the environment.
That however is a bigger conversation and one I don't think I am researched in enough to have yet, but I am trying to change my focus on this and change some of my daily habits.
Looking back at this week though I had another what you could describe as a delicious week.
I had a sneak little four days off from work this week as well.
But this week I would like to say my main focus was F O O D
I went 'out' to eat 3 separate times. So I think I am going to write this reflect a little differently.
The first place I went to eat was Cardamon Pod at Brickworks.
There are two separate Cardamon Pods on the Gold Coast I went to the one located in Southport and it was so yummy.
I ended up getting the Double Chocolate Waffles which can be seen pictured here.
Just for your information as well Cardamon Pod is a strictly Vegetarian restaurant and I am fairly certain that they do not have any meat in the vicinity. (I am a meat eater however it was a nice change of scenery.)
I did like the food and the service was nice however it did seem a little on the expensive side and I won't lie when I say I miss my smashed avo.
The second place that I went to eat this week was MexiCali in Nobbys beach.
Now anyone who knows me knows that 'I don't like Mexican' are words that frequent my mouth at least weekly. Everybody is so deathly shocked when I say it. However I decided to venture out of my comfort zone this week.
This did pay off, we went on Tuesday to explicitly enjoy Taco Tuesday of course and we ended up getting 3 tacos each and some sangaria.
This came to a very cheap $26 and an even nicer night spent with great company.
I would highly recommend eating out here as the food was delicious, cheap and quick service!
The third place I went to eat was a cute little cafe that I had actually been before and I did like the food. So I decided to return again. This time I was surrounded by great food and even greater company! I undeotuneatl
I love going out for breakfast, it would have to be one of my favourite past times and using it as a tool to catch up with the beautiful people in my life honestly fills my heart with so much warmth.
Oh and also I finally got my smashed avo.
The rest of the week was spent going to the gym, eating, attempting to study and spending a lot of time relaxing. I also realised this week that there are two things that I want to focus more on this year and that is taking more photos of my week to week activities and finding more topics that i want to expand my horizons on. Some of these topics include:
Australian Politics
Superannuation
Sleep cycles
Moon cycles
Just to name a few things. I am on the search now for an Australian young blog or youtube channel that explains politics to me in a simple version. We all need to be more educated I believe.
Thats the week that was.
Here's to the week that is coming.
